Meaningful moments from 2025—and how they’re shaping the goals for the year to come.

Most people dread Monday mornings—so much so that several songs have been written about the day: Manic Monday – The Bangles Monday, Monday – The Mamas & Papas Rainy Days and Mondays – The Carpenters But at Fun Programs By Stacy (FPBS), we’ve decided to flip that gloomy narrative and declare: Monday is Funday!

I’ll close with a picture my husband took while we were sitting by the pool, overlooking the Mediterranean. It’s a peaceful image—one that reflects my prayer for peace.

I want to thank my husband for sparking the pickleball idea, AI for helping me create a delightfully silly coloring sheet, the amazing volunteers from YMSL, and my wonderful friends who attended. Smoothies in the Park turned out to be a joyful blend of fun, friendship, and community—and I can’t wait to do it again.

I’m lucky—my husband, three boys, and two dogs keep me laughing every day. Lately, our family group chat has been filled with talking dog videos from Instagram. My son Danny, who is very “techy,” even made his own featuring our dogs, Daisy and Spot.

Looking at the big cargo van, I realized that this time, as Brad pulled away, it felt different. He was setting off on his own adventure, heading to Nashville with his girlfriend to start his PhD program at Vanderbilt. My heart swelled with excitement, knowing that Brad was following his dreams and about to embark on a thrilling journey: exploring a new city and pursuing his passion for chemistry—an area I admittedly know little about.

I had such a fun week as a counselor at Camp Kesher, hosted at the Pozez Jewish Community Center.

For my second blog post, I found myself reflecting on two things that filled me with joy this week: launching the very first program for Fun Programs By Stacy (FPS) and celebrating our beloved dog Spot’s 15th birthday.

When I walked out of the JCC in 2010, I never imagined I’d return. For years, it had been the heart of my family’s life—a place where my children played, friendships grew, and a community held me through my battle with cancer. Sixteen years later, I’m stepping back through those doors, not as a preschool mom, but as a Camp Kesher counselor and founder of Fun Programs By Stacy. Life has come full circle, bringing me back to the warmth of connection and the joy of purposeful community.
